EFFECTIVE JULY 1: Curfew from midnight to 5:00 a.m. daily, but subject to constant review.

This curfew is for all residents on all islands across the Territory excluding those deemed as essential workers by Cabinet. The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is enforcing the law to combat the spread of the Coronavirus.


Effective 1 July, 2020;

Movement of private vessels within Territorial waters permitted, except in waters that are classified as an exclusion zone and the reference points on the map, outlined in the Regulations as follows:

unrestricted marine traffic and activity will be allowed only between 05:00 and 19:00 hours, notwithstanding further curfew restrictions;

unrestricted marine traffic and activity will be permitted East of 64.38300'W on the south side of Tortola and an area East of the dividing line between the western most tip of Jost Van Dyke and Western most tip of Tortola. (This area will be further confined by navigational limits to the North, East and South);

traffic through the exclusion zone and outside of the navigational limits is restricted and requires pre-clearance from the Multi-Agency Operational Command prior to transit (Contact Marine Police, Phil Aspinall, on +(284) 441 7887);

vessels fitted with Automated I System technology will be required to use same while navigating within the territorial waters, especially in the exclusion zone to make them easily identifiable to law enforcement from a distance.

PLEASE NOTE: The BVI borders remain closed.  Only boats currently in Territory can move.  Boats outside BVI waters will not be granted permission to enter.

PLEASE STAY ON YOUR BOAT on arrival to the fuel dock. We will come to you.

Payment can be made AT YOUR BOAT.

Please be patient while we perfect the methods and efforts of social distancing.


We will take bookings as normal for the marina. Please have permission to move  from the Marine Police FIRST by contacting Phil Aspinall on 1 284 441 7887.

Tradewind offices are not open to customers. All transactions must be made via phone email or WhatsApp. There will be staff at the door to notify and assist customers through the door. We anticipate this just for the beginning of the opening.

We want the focus to be on telephone and online ordering with curbside delivery. We will be limiting the number of customers allowed in the store at any one time.  Customers must wear masks, and wash their hands at the sink before entering the store.

The guard hut (container) by the entrance has been moved closer to the bridge, allowing for better control of both road and foot access into Nanny Cay.

Nanny Cay has increased security around the property during this period with 24-hour monitoring of the security cameras.
