Many yards offer storage with tie downs, welded or chained stands and cradles. Here at Nanny Cay we use several different methods to store a boat. We have a 70 ton widebody lift that we have hauled up to 100 foot vessels and catamarans up to 32 ft wide.   We are fortunate to have cradles for both monohulls and catamarans that were engineered and built by Yacht Leg and Cradle Company in England. The cradles are built up under and around the vessel, bolted together and in conjunction with eight pad supports and six-foot long sand screws that are strapped to both the cradle and yacht can withstand up to Force 12 winds and gusts to 147 mph.   Our cradles can be adjusted to fit any size and type of vessel.

The use of this system earned Nanny Cay its status as an approved hurricane storage facility by one of the world’s leading insurer of luxury yachts, Pantaenius.

Nanny Cay was the first boatyard in the Caribbean Named Windstorm Exclusion Area (CNWEA) with this yacht storage system for hurricane storage approved by Pantaenius.

Several other insurance companies also recognize our cradles as being a safe alternative to leaving your yacht just on stands or in the water during the hurricane season.
