Violet Prosper, Budget MarineViolet is one of the many smiling faces you will find at Nanny Cay. She is a BVI marine industry veteran having arrived in the BVI in 1994 and working at Stardust Marine, Sun Yacht Charters, and Sunsail before joining the Nanny Cay family at Budget Marine in September 2007.
A Dominican and mother of two girls 22 and 17 – one studying Psychology and one aiming to become a Coroner – Violet is the Store Supervisor and second in command to manager, Theresa Williams.
Violet is still raving about the five-day Customer Service course she attended at the Budget Marine HQ in St Maarten where she was immersed in the complexities of products like anti-fouling paint and the nitty gritty of customer care. The infamous Capt. Fatty Goodlander regaled the attendees with tall tales while running a seminar on the different types of boating Customer.
Favourite part of the job: Meeting customers, helping them, and knowing they have left the store happy
Worst part of the job: Closing for the day and then re-opening for desperate customers, not once, not twice, but three times on one day!
