We carried out our routine inspections of the docks earlier in June to ensure that all yachts visiting our marina will have a safe and solid base to dock on. We’re now in the process of replacing a few of the floating docks as part of our on going marina maintenance programme, and since the start of the quieter summer season, we’ve already removed and replaced two floating docks on A Dock and J Dock.

A third is being installed on D Dock with a view to adding a couple more fingers for additional dockage.

The replacement docks are being built by our regular, in-country contractor who is using aluminum frames which will be less susceptible to rust than the steel frames, and topped with Walcon spec hardwood. The docks sit atop of the original Walcon floats which are cleaned up and repaired as necessary.
