Listeners and fans of the weekly radio infotainment show, Talkin’ Tourism on Florida’s Treasure Coast, will learn more about vacation options in the British Virgin Islands when talk show host, Gary Guertin, is joined by Horizon Yacht Charters, Blue Water Divers and Nanny Cay Resort & Marina. The show will be broadcast live from Nanny Cay on Friday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will air on WPSL 1590 AM reaching listeners from Vero Beach to Jupiter, Florida. It also will be streamed worldwide live on www.wpsl.com.
This week, the programme will take a look at the sailing, diving and hotel experience offered by the featured guests.
“When people think of taking a vacation in the BVI, they think of sailing and diving,” says Gary. “Since we have an unexpected opportunity to run our show again this Friday from Tortola, we thought it would be fitting to take a look behind the scenes of the major tourism sectors of the BVI. It’s always interesting for our listeners to learn a bit more about services and to meet the key players involved in delivering dream vacations.”
Gary and his wife, Misti, are residents of Martin County, Florida who have been visiting the BVI for twenty years. They have witnessed the growth and changes of the territory and are familiar with several of the established tourist oriented businesses. Nanny Cay is a full-service marina, boatyard and resort located on the southern shores of Tortola. The forty five acre cay is home to numerous marine related businesses, shops and offices. Horizon Yacht Charters, a mid-size, owner-operated company, offers bareboat or skippered sailing charters out of Nanny Cay. Horizon also has bases in St Maarten, Antigua and Grenada. Blue Water Divers had been owned and managed for twenty five years by brothers Mike and Keith Royle. They run dive tours and certification courses out of Sopers Hole and Nanny Cay Marina.
Last week, the show included guest co-host, Malcolm Boyes, and Chef Davide Pugliese, owner of Brandywine Bay Restaurant and Capriccio di Mare, Tortola.
Talkin’ Tourism on Florida’s Treasure Coast usually is broadcast from various locations on the Treasure Coast of Florida.
