BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Arrival protocols
BVI Customs and Immigration require all vessels to register and submit arrival notifications through SailClear.
All vessels must also clear in at an approved BVI port of entry before proceeding to Nanny Cay Marina.
Every person entering the BVI must complete the British Virgin Islands Customs and Immigration portal up to 72 hours before your arrival. Just before arriving at Nanny Cay Marina, please contact the Dockmaster on VHF Channel 16 or 68 so our team can be ready to assist with your lines and give you your slip allocation. The Marina Office is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., 365 days a year.
Temporary entrance to Nanny Cay
The new entrance to Nanny Cay will be almost at a 90° angle to the old entrance, running parallel to the Tortola shore. This requires limited dredging to create the new channel.

Nanny Cay cleaning up and back in operation

Nanny Cay’s maintenance crew has been in full swing cleaning up after the passing of Hurricane Earl yesterday. Like much of the BVI, trees, branches and a lot of leaves were lost. But that was it. All the yachts in the boatyard are still standing and all the yachts on docks the afloat; some have a little “scuff” damage. Everything stood up well. Even Peg Legs at the mouth of the marina only suffered two broken fans and a broken cupboard door; re-opening is still on schedule.
Meridian – The Largest Yacht To Ever Dock At Nanny Cay
Meridian dwarfs the other yachts, including the 90-ft Bjorg IV, on ‘A’ dock. Click image to enlarge.Meridian, a 161-foot yacht built by Mississippi-based Trinity Yachts, now holds the distinction of being the largest ever vessel to dock at Nanny Cay. S/V Bossy Boots at 140 feet, held the previous record.
This tri-deck 161 ft. x 28 ft. motoryacht is capable of a cruising speed of 22 knots and carries approximately 16,700 gallons (63,215L) of fuel. She has a fresh water capacity of approximately 2,700 gallons (10,220). The two water makers will generate 2,400 gpd. (15,898 lpd.) each. For stabilization and especially to ensure comfort in an exposed anchorage, she has been fitted with two (2) active fin system with Zero Speed by Quantum.
Meridian can accommodate an owner’s party of ten in five spaciously planned staterooms in mahogany with en suite baths exquisitely finished with inlaid marble. Each of the four guest staterooms are located below the main deck. There are two with king size berths, two with twin berths.
