16th Annual Premier’s Cup Coming Up at Nanny Cay
The 16th annual Premier’s Cup takes place at Nanny Cay next weekend, 19 and 20 July.
The annual event brings together young people between the ages of 10 and 18 from all over the Caribbean for a weekend of fellowship and competition. Last year the two-day event featured 10 teams with about 60 young sailors from around the region including the USVI, Puerto Rico, Anguilla, Trinidad, Barbados and the Bahamas.

The Royal British Virgin Islands Yacht Club’s Annual Dinghy Championships will take place at Nanny Cay from May 16 to 18.
This is the flagship event of the Youth Programme, a showcase of the racing achievements, and a major fundraiser. The money fundraised in this event goes 100% to the Youth Sailing Development Programme in support of instructor wages and equipment maintenance, and acquisition.

Docks filling up for the BVI Charter Yacht ShowThe 32 annual BVI Charter Yacht Society’s (CYS) Charter Yacht Show will be held from Thursday, November 7th through to Sunday, November 10th at Nanny Cay for a second year.
This jam-packed weekend unofficially began yesterday Monday with the “New Crew Orientation”, and registration kicks off Wednesday at the CYS registration desk. Captain Mulligan’s will host the CYS AGM and crew social in the evening.
Thursday, the official “Day One” of the event, starts with Broker Registration and then rolls into a sequence of yacht viewings lasting throughout the day. Opening Night festivities will include a Vendor Village and a “How well do you Know your Mate” game show beachside under the Village Tent.

The saying goes “Never waste a fair wind” and for the second year running rally organisers World Cruising Club took the decision for the ARC Caribbean 1500 fleet to start their offshore sail to the British Virgin Islands and Nanny Cay a day ahead of schedule. On Saturday November 2, the rally left Portsmouth Virginia and the Chesapeake on a light northwesterly wind, broad-reaching into the Atlantic with several yachts flying spinnakers as they sailed on into the clear evening.
